Naples. A series of technical tests on some seized artifacts were carried out today by order of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of the investigation into the death of Cristina Frazzica, the 30-year-old researcher who was hit by a car while canoeing with a friend in the Posillipo area.
For the unique technical assessment, which was carried out in the forensic genetics laboratory, a consultant was appointed, as has been done for all the expert assessments ordered by investigators to date.
The family is being assisted by Giuseppe Vacca of Giesse, who, through his lawyer, Gianluca Giordano, is closely following the investigative activities.
Remembrance and Commemorations
Meanwhile, in recent days, a series of events have taken place to remember Cristina, who was killed on June 9, and to ensure that tragedies of this type never happen again.
On Tuesday, June 25, the Frazzica family attended several meetings in Naples, first at the Pharmacy Department of Federico II University, where Cristina had started the Pharmatech Academy, and then at the headquarters of the Campania National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Here they met with President Sergio Roncelli and various sports organizations to plan initiatives in memory of Cristina, from the more strictly sporting ones to training and awareness campaigns on safe driving at sea aimed at young people.
Meeting with the Mayor of Naples
The family also met with the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi. "We wanted to thank him for the way he supported us following the tragedy," the Frazzica family explained.
"These were small gestures that we appreciated and that made us feel less alone. We're happy to have found, even in the administration of such an important municipality, full availability and commitment to ensure that, in the future, we never have to mourn another 'Cristina.'
Her sacrifice must not have been in vain. If we all, in our own small way, decide to do our part in this direction, then perhaps something can truly change, because the sea—which Cristina loved so much—belongs to everyone, and we must feel free to experience it without fear.
Pain and Hope of the Family
"Now we need everyone's strength and support because her loss causes us unspeakable pain," Cristina's family continued.
"The people we know, including Cristina's friends and colleagues, have shown us their support and affection in recent days and expressed their desire for the truth of what happened to emerge. We thank them and look forward to the investigation continuing."
