Cell phones and hashish seized in the Irpinia prison. Between Saturday and yesterday, according to Tiziana Guacci, regional secretary of the SAPPE, two smartphones were found in separate units inside the Avellino prison.
Drugs were also discovered. A large quantity of hashish was seized in the premises opposite the promenade dedicated to common inmates, together with a micro-cell phone complete with battery charger.
Tension on Sunday afternoon. An inmate with a history of setting fire to his cell staged a protest to obtain a change of room. During the tense phases, he attacked with punches and slaps a superintendent of the Penitentiary Police.
