### The author's vision
Writer Maurizio de Giovanni explained: “When faced with a written text, we are active. While we read a book, we can do nothing else: chat, surf social media, watch a film. This is also why fiction, cinema, TV series and comics have very different languages. What I, as a writer, can convey through fiction is first and foremost the interiority of the characters. I tell their feelings, rather than their actions. When working on visual languages, however, it is necessary to entrust the interiority to the expressions of the characters, to their faces and to their interactions. So 'Il Commissario Ricciardi a fumetto' is not actually a translation of my literary inventiveness. But the translation of what I had imagined in another fantasy.”
### A project with attention to detail
As always, the project is curated by Luca Crovi and the stories are created in coordination with the Italian School of Comix, ensuring high quality in the visual transposition of the events of Commissioner Ricciardi.
