Contents
The important joint operation between the Carabinieri and the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate led to the arrest of the boss at the top of the Camorra clan “Amato-Pagano”, operating in the northern area of Naples and in some municipalities of the province.
The boss is seriously suspected of being the instigator of two murders and one injury that occurred between 2007 and 2008 in Naples and Arzano
The ambushes
25 September 2007: Aggravated homicide of Salvatore Ferrara and wounding of Ugo De Lucia and Antonio Caldieri, in Naples.
February 9, 2008: Murder of Luigi Magnetti and Carmine Fusco, in Arzano.
The operation was conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Nucleus of Naples on behalf of the District Attorney's Office of Naples.
The Camorra Feud of Scampia
The operation represents an important step forward in shedding light on those years in which the three Camorra feuds developed between Secondigliano, Scampia and surrounding areas, first with the war between the Scissionisti of the Beloved-Pagan and the Di Lauros and then the involvement of the Seven Families of Secondigliano, the Girati della Vinella Grassi and other criminal groups.
Wars that left hundreds of dead on the pavement and forever branded those territories as Camorra areas.
