For the musical production of the songs, the two artists collaborated with Frank Sativa from Turin, who took care of the artistic direction of the album. Written and recorded in Salerno, “Stranieri” is the result of about two years of work and represents the group's need to live off music despite the difficulties that an independent band can have, which, moreover, released its previous album at the beginning of the pandemic: the song that closes this new album, “Vivere di musica”, is inspired precisely by the tormented past of their last years, told in full at the end of 2023 with a monologue published on digital platforms.
“In addition to our discussions on the concept of living off music, which is dear to us – say the Cadillac Flowers – The inspiration for this album, starting with its title, was the concept of foreigners, understood as those people who no longer recognize themselves, perhaps because they've lost themselves, or because they've been forced to leave their country to pursue dreams elsewhere, or because they're worn out by a frayed relationship. It's no coincidence that our band was named after the madmen of Cadillac Sur Garonne, those "sick" of diversity, misunderstood, unprotected, those "madmen," the rejects of post-war French society, of whom no one had any memory, dissolved into the oblivion of the world outside the institution where they were locked up. Never before have we captured this inspiration as in these 11 songs.
