Frattamaggiore. Carabinieri from the Casoria Mobile Radio Unit arrested a 32-year-old man from Mugnano, already known to law enforcement, for vehicle theft and receiving stolen goods.
The man was part of a group of four people who stole a Jeep Renegade in Frattamaggiore last night.
The military, during a patrol service, noticed the suspicious car with the four men on board in via Caiazzo in Arzano. When they tried to stop, the thugs they fled on board another car.
A chase ensued that ended in Via Cristoforo Colombo, where the bandits abandoned the car and attempted to escape on foot.
The gang of thieves had stolen a Jeep Renegade
The Carabinieri managed to stop the 32-year-old, while the other three accomplices fled. The man was reported and the Jeep Renegade was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
Investigations are still ongoing to identify and track down the 32-year-old's accomplices.
