On July 25, Piazza Cossiga in Golfo Aranci will become the beating heart of Italian music with the exclusive free concert of Gigi D'Alessio, part of his 2024 summer tour.
The highly anticipated performance, scheduled for 22:00 p.m., will offer an unmissable show with no admission fee. The event was announced at a press conference attended by the new city council and the outgoing mayor.
Emotion, adrenaline, curiosity and joy characterized the press conference to present the event. The new mayor Giuseppe Fasolino explained the details of the concert together with Giuseppe Langella, new councilor for tourism and vice mayor, the delegate for entertainment Cristina Pedevilla and the councilor for commerce Manuele Derosas. Mario Mulas, outgoing mayor, also participated in the presentation.
RG Music, represented by Renato Piccinnu, illustrated the details of the evening, anticipating a large influx of spectators.
Renato Piccinnu of RG Music stressed the importance of providing adequate spaces to accommodate the crowd, following Gigi D'Alessio's instructions. "We expect a real crowd bath," Piccinnu said, specifying that the Golfo Aranci date is the only one of the tour with free admission, thus attracting audiences from all over the island and beyond.
Fasolino added that studies are underway to facilitate the arrival and departure of spectators, especially considering the limited access in the area adjacent to the square.
Outgoing mayor Mario Mulas expressed satisfaction with the work done by the previous administration and promised to continue collaborating with the new group. Councilor for Commerce Manuele Derosas and Entertainment Delegate Cristina Pedevilla shared their excitement and commitment to the success of the event. “There are the conditions to do well,” Derosas said.
Giuseppe Fasolino anticipated that the new administration is working on an intense and novel cultural program, extending the season of events until October. He praised the collaboration between the members of the council and underlined the importance of giving continuity to the projects of the previous administration, as demonstrated by the organization of the Gigi D'Alessio concert.
Next Friday, there will be a meeting of the city council in the square, with the invitation extended to the president of the region and the mayors of the territory. During this occasion, they will vote for the new president of the council, with the hope that for the first time it could be a woman.
