Camorra, Giuseppina Ostinato acquitted on appeal: sensational verdict for the wife of the "Borotalco" boss

Naples. A sensational acquittal on appeal for Giuseppina Ostinato, wife of Camorra boss Salvatore "Borotalco" Cutolo, the historic leader of the "44" clan on Via Marco Aurelio in the Traiano district.

The woman, already sentenced to 14 years in the first instance, was cleared of all charges by the judges of the fifth section of the Court of Appeal of Naples.

The wiretaps and the statements of the informants did not convince the judges. The same fate for Vincenzo Pauciullo, also acquitted. The Court reduced the sentences for most of the other defendants.

The convictions for the leaders were confirmed. The news was anticipated by the newspaper Il Roma.

Antonio Calone, considered one of the promoters of the Cutolo clan, saw his sentence reduced to 10 years (compared to 17 in the first degree).
