Lorenzo Insigne, former Napoli and Italian national team striker, currently playing for Toronto FC, has expressed a dream that will make many fans dream: playing at the Bombonera for Boca Juniors. In an interview with Diario Olé, Insigne spoke openly about his fascination with Argentine football and the possibility of a future in the land of Diego Armando Maradona.
"I would like to play in Argentina, the homeland of Diego Armando Maradona," said Insigne. "But I'm 33, I'm very old now. You never know in life. Argentine fans are like Neapolitan ones, very passionate. If I had to choose, I'd choose Boca. I like the fans."
Insigne recalled the experience of Daniele De Rossi, who played at Boca Juniors and was affectionately called 'Tano'. "I talked to him, and he told me the atmosphere is incredible," added the striker. "I never watch a game because of the time, but the Bombonera is an incredible stadium."
