"I want to thank, one by one, every citizen of Sant'Antonio Abate who, over the past two days, decided to go to the polls to vote once again for our coalition. A very high percentage of voters, a huge turnout that was by no means expected, given that no competitor on the other side had the strength to organize a group to counter, and we didn't have a quorum requirement, yet it delivers a historic turnout for Sant'Antonio Abate, and among the highest in Italy. Ilaria Abagnale, elected mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate for the second time, said this, this time as the only candidate with the four civic lists Federazione Abatese, Ilaria Abagnale Sindaco, La Forza Gentile con Ilaria Abagnale Sindaco and Ilaria Valore Abatese, thanks to the vote of 79,66% of the voters.

"This result – says Ilaria Abagnale – It once again demonstrates the affection and trust that the citizens of Sant'Antonio Abate have placed in me and my coalition. I am moved and, at the same time, determined to reciprocate this trust, resuming our journey together—which, in reality, has never stopped—for the good of Sant'Antonio Abate and to implement the electoral program we have set ourselves.

In 2014, in Sant'Antonio Abate, Antonio Varone obtained 70,16% of the preferences (8965 votes) in a challenge between several candidates, while this time for the coalition led by Ilaria Abagnale alone 12260 voters went to the polls, equal to almost 80% of the those eligible to vote, which, according to research by the Ministry of the Interior, should surpass the record percentage achieved ten years ago in a municipality of over 15 inhabitants by the then mayor of Calenzano, who managed to obtain 76,9% of the voters' preferences.

"I ran for a second term - declares Ilaria Abagnale - with the fear of what people's perception was regarding the work done, the projects completed and the credibility acquired. I feared that what I considered an exam would turn into a failure. However, analyzing the percentage of voters, it is clear that our fellow citizens have chosen the continuity of our tireless commitment to the concrete growth of the country. I feel like thanking the entire team of administrators for this historic milestone that makes me so proud of the way we have chosen to operate, honestly and in the sole interests of the country".

"For this my last electoral campaign – says Ilaria Abagnale – I chose to eliminate excesses. Away with rallies, away with the stage. I preferred direct contact with people, and every warm invitation in the courtyards and living rooms of my home was worth it, where I could directly answer citizens' questions, without chasing answers via social media. From the height of a stage, I could not have dedicated to each of them the time they deserved from those who represent them. This is the highest form of participation that I intend to continue to pursue in my next five years, as a form of recognition for the trust placed in me for the second time”.
