A fire broke out yesterday, June 25, in the Roma camp on Via Carrafiello in Giugliano in Campania. Firefighters responded quickly to put out the flames, while technicians from ARPAC (Campania's Regional Agency for Environmental Protection) went to the site to assess the fire's environmental consequences.
From initial observations, it appears that the heavy rain helped extinguish the fire and prevent any pollutants from falling to the ground. At the time of the ARPAC inspection, around 20:00 PM, no combustion fumes were visible.
Air quality data collected by fixed stations in the regional monitoring network of ARPAC Campania, as usual, will be published on the Agency's portal.
