Naples. Arrested after a long chase in the Traiano district: one is a known criminal from the neighborhood.

It happened yesterday evening while the officers of the San Paolo Police Station were on duty during a territorial control service. When they arrived in Via Marco Aurelio they noticed two men on board a car and the driver, at the sight of them, accelerated to avoid the control despite having been ordered to stop.

At that point thechase with sirens blaring, during which the driver carried out maneuvers that were dangerous for road traffic until, having arrived at the Monte Sant'Angelo estate, the police reached them and, not without difficulty, stopped them.

The two identified as two Neapolitans aged 34 and 46, the latter with a police record, were arrested for resisting a Public Official. Neither of them explained the reasons for their escape.
