The Jabil plant in Marcianise is at the center of a new escalation of tension. The American multinational has in fact decided to impose holidays on 420 employees, after their refusal to renew their redundancy fund.
This move has provoked a harsh reaction from the unions, who have announced legal action. The dispute between Jabil and its workers has dragged on for years, with the company's decision to close the Marcianise plant further aggravating the situation.
Workers, who complain about an insufficient workload and ask to be able to work more, are now forced to take holidays by force, without the support of the redundancy fund.
The situation appears dire, with over 500 workers having already left the company in recent years. This bleak picture risks worsening further unless a swift and shared solution is found.
The upcoming meeting between the unions and the management Jabil of June 17 will be crucial to understand the future of the Marcianise plant.
