The Carabinieri of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Station arrested a 33-year-old from Naples on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated theft.
The man, in collaboration with two other people yet to be identified, was accused of stealing three catalytic converters from cars parked in Santa Maria Capua Vetere between September and October 2023. The criminals threatened the victims and used violence to snatch the catalysts from the cars.
The Carabinieri, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, executed a house arrest warrant against the 33-year-old.
The Carabinieri are now on the trail of the arrested man's accomplices.
