"Napoli contacted me and want me to continue with them. I'm happy in Naples.
The people have a great mentality and the food is great." These are the words of Stanislav Lobotka, director of Napoli and the Slovakian national team, after the victory against Belgium which saw him awarded as man of the match.
Lobotka, 29 years old, has a contract with Napoli until June 2027 and spoke enthusiastically about the city to the Slovakian media present in Germany for the coverage of the Euro 2024: "It doesn't rain much in Naples, there's no snow, but there are lots of beaches and it's beautiful."
Reflecting on the recent conquest of the Scudetto, Lobotka told a curious anecdote: "I knew Neapolitans loved football, but I didn't think I'd be left in my underwear after the match. It was a crazy situation.
For a moment I thought they were going to rip off my entire set of clothes. Luckily they at least left me my boxers.", he said laughing.
