Maddaloni. A 25-year-old under house arrest was found on the street, bleeding from one leg and sitting on the sidewalk near his home. During the night, he was arrested by the Carabinieri for mistreatment of the family.
When he saw the soldiers of the Maddaloni Company's mobile radio unit, the young man asked to be arrested to prevent him from committing murder.
According to reconstructions, shortly before the arrival of the Carabinieri, the 25-year-old had railed against the mother 58 years old and attacked his 41 year old sister, who intervened to defend her mother, hitting her with the TV remote control.
The victims reported to the Carabinieri that for several months, the family member had been showing intolerance towards the restrictive house arrest he had been placed under for a fraud committed in Amalfi in August 2023, exhibiting aggressive and violent behavior toward them. This behavior had become increasingly frequent over time.
On several occasions, the 25-year-old had also destroyed furnishings and damaged doors and windows in the family apartment.
The 118 emergency medical service intervened on site and treated the wound to the 25-year-old's leg, which he had caused by kicking the glass of the window of the condominium stairwell.
The sister was subsequently taken to the hospital for injuries sustained as a result of her brother's beatings, was treated and was deemed curable in 10 days.
The arrested man was transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere
