Maddaloni. Moments of panic this morning in Maddaloni, where a 36-year-old of Moroccan origins blocked two regional trains and damaged several cars.
The man, clearly agitated, walked to the level crossing on Via Conciliazione and, brandishing a large, modified wrench, occupied the tracks, interrupting rail traffic on the Naples-Caserta route for about an hour.
His gesture has caused considerable inconvenience to numerous commuters who were on board the trains.

The immediate intervention of the Carabinieri of the local Carabinieri Operations and Radiomobile Unit was crucial in apprehending the 36-year-old, already known to law enforcement. Before being disarmed, the man vented his anger at several parked cars, damaging them with the wrench.
Taken to the barracks, the 36-year-old was reported at liberty for disruption of public service, damage and illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence. He was subsequently entrusted to the care of 118 health workers.
The incident, which has caused great concern among the population, once again highlights the importance of timely intervention by law enforcement to ensure the safety of citizens.
