The man was executed pursuant to a pre-trial detention order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Torre Annunziata Court at the request of the Oplonti prosecutor's office.

The investigation, conducted by officers from the Massa Lubrense Carabinieri Station and coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office, revealed that on January 8th, the 47-year-old, in collusion with individuals who have not yet been identified, defrauded a 76-year-old woman from Massa Lubrense, stealing cash totaling €14.500.

The victim had been contacted by telephone by one of the perpetrators who, posing as a police officer, had misled her into believing that her son had caused serious injuries to someone following a road accident and that, unless the woman paid a sum of money, her son would risk ending up in prison.

Subsequently, a man who identified himself as a lawyer showed up at the victim's home and demanded that she hand over 14.500 euros in cash.

Through the investigative reconstruction carried out by the military immediately after the events and the subsequent investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, which consisted mainly in the collection of testimonies and the acquisition and analysis of the footage from the video surveillance systems, one of the perpetrators of the crime was identified. fraud who was arrested and taken to Poggioreale prison.
