Good news for Milan on the investigation front regarding the transfer of ownership between Elliott and RedBird. The Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Football Federation has in fact archived the file opened on the sale of the club "as is". Last March, the prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè had requested the investigation documents from the Milan Prosecutor's Office, receiving a twelve-page search warrant.
The FIGC Prosecutor's Office had to assess whether there had been violations of Article 5 of the Sports Justice Code regarding the reporting obligations in the acquisitions of football clubs. At the moment, no irregularities have been found and no referrals are expected, a significant result for the Rossoneri club that is also awaiting the developments of the ordinary investigation in Milan.
In parallel, plans for the future of the stadium are progressing. Milan. There are two separate projects underway: the redevelopment of San Siro, proposed by WeBuild, and the construction of a new stadium in the San Donato area. In a week or two, a decisive meeting will be held between Milan, Inter, the mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala and WeBuild to discuss the Meazza redevelopment project.
In the meantime, significant progress has also been made in the construction of the stadium owned by Milan in San Donato. The remediation phase of the San Francesco area began on Monday, the first step towards the realization of the project. Fs Sistemi Urbani is the first partner to join the Program Agreement for the construction of the new facility.
“We welcome this first accession to the table of the Program Agreement,” declared the Mayor of San Donato Francesco Squeri. “We expect to receive responses from the other parties consulted shortly in order to delve into the merits of the project, defining the planning, economic and operational commitments for the overall development of the urban intervention that will represent an opportunity for our city and for the entire southern Milan.”
