Minos, Dante's fearsome infernal judge, does not condemn sinful souls, but unleashes an infernal heat on all of Italy.
African heat is on the way: the Minos anticyclone is bringing with it a scorching heatwave that will hit the entire peninsula, exceeding seasonal averages by a full 12°C. Prepare for bone-chilling temperatures, with exceptional peaks in June.
In the next few hours, the African heatwave will make its presence felt, with temperatures reaching 39°C in Sardinia, 36°C in Puglia, and 34°C in Naples. But the worst is yet to come...
Weekend with 44 degrees in Sardinia
Between Wednesday, June 19th and Friday, June 21st, the heat will reach its peak, with temperatures reaching 44°C in inland areas of Sardinia.

In addition to the intense heat, the heatwave will be accompanied by oppressive heat, which will make the situation even more difficult to bear. The clouds and desert sand may temporarily dampen the sun's rays a little, but they won't be enough to lower temperatures.
This first heat wave, as often happens, will catch us unprepared, with our bodies still not accustomed to high temperatures. Pay attention, especially the most fragile, and take all the necessary precautions to best face this African heat wave.
The anticyclone Minos, with its infernal power, will hold Italy under its dominion for much of the week, at least until Saturday. A truly infernal Summer Solstice awaits us, with Italy boiling like a crucible under a scorching sky.
