Mondragone The Carabinieri of the Caserta Provincial Command, led by Colonel Manuel Scarso, arrested this morning the man accused of shooting his brother to death during an argument that occurred last night in Mondragone.
The murder occurred on Via Domiziana, in a rest area near a bar. The victim, Luigi Cennami, a 50-year-old from Mondragone, was shot with a 9mm pistol by brother Antonio, 54 years old, who fled on a scooter after the crime.
The Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant against Antonio Cennami, charged with aggravated murder. The Carabinieri, after an intensive manhunt, located and arrested him.
The motives for the argument that led to the tragic murder are still unclear. The Carabinieri are investigating to reconstruct the facts. Initial reports suggest the two had arranged to meet because the killer was convinced his brother was having an affair with his wife.
The victim also showed up armed to the appointment: he had a machete when the police found his body.
The murderer was found this morning in a confused state while driving on the outskirts of Mondragone.
