The driver of the truck that hit and killed the young footballer yesterday evening is under investigation for road homicide. Castel San Giorgio, Francesco Pontone, just 17 years old.

The boy was riding a scooter driven by a boy his age when, for reasons currently being ascertained, the driver lost control and hit a car traveling in the same direction.
Thrown from his scooter, Pontone ended up on the opposite lane where a truck arrived and hit him, killing him instantly. The intervention of the 118 emergency services was immediate, but useless. The dynamics are now being examined by investigators.
The Carabinieri and the Financial Police arrived on site to carry out the investigations. The truck driver who had invested the boy, but above all the friend who was driving the vehicle, who only suffered a few grazes, but who then felt ill.
