A 47-year-old man from Naples has been arrested in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, after being wanted for gang rape since November 2022.
The man had been missing since then, but thanks to the collaboration between the Carabinieri and the Spanish Police, he was finally brought to justice.
The operation was conducted by Udyco Central, a special unit of the Spanish Police , in collaboration with the Investigative Unit of Naples and the International Cooperation Service of the Central Criminal Police Directorate.
The investigation took investigators to Torremolinos, a Spanish seaside resort between Malaga and Marbella. The man was identified and arrested while he was on the street on a scooter.
The Neapolitan took part in a gang rape
The man is accused of participating in a gang rape of a woman. For this crime he was sentenced to 4 years in prison, a sentence he will now have to serve.
The man is currently in a Spanish prison awaiting extradition to Italy.
