Naples. A 24-year-old Russian man was shot in Naples on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident occurred around 23:00 PM on Via Foria, near the intersection with Via Cavitelli.
The young man, with no criminal record, was on foot when he was approached by one or more individuals riding a scooter. The criminals fired a gunshot that wounded him in the left foot, and then quickly walked away.
Rescued by passersby, the 24-year-old drove himself to the Vecchio Pellegrini hospital, where he was treated for his wound, which was not serious.
Although the bullet pierced his foot, no vital structures were damaged and the young man's life is not in danger.

Officers from the Montecalvario Police Station are investigating the incident, having acquired footage from video surveillance cameras in the area and heard the victim's testimony.
The investigators are examining the motive and dynamics of the raid. It is assumed that it could have been an attempted rapina or of mistaken identity.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents, already struggling with widespread crime. Naples's news reports have been reporting too many violent incidents in recent weeks, and this certainly isn't a good sign for a city overflowing with tourists.
