The CoopService employees' struggle continues, with a new demonstration scheduled for Monday, June 17, at 12:XNUMX p.m., in front of the company's offices on Via G. Porzio, near the Naples Business Center. Supporting the workers will be activists and leaders of the Sindacato Generale di Base (SGB), an independent trade union.
La CoopService, with its registered office in Reggio Emilia, is one of the "red" cooperatives that define themselves as business models, champions of social responsibility and corporate ethics. Despite this, the company, which has won multi-million-dollar contracts for cleaning and services in several Neapolitan healthcare facilities under the contracting authority ASL Napoli 1 – Centro, has long been the subject of protests by workers.

Employees are reporting serious violations of workplace health and accident prevention regulations, particularly at several ASL Napoli 1 sites and the Santobono Pausilipon hospital. Among the issues reported are the failure to launder work clothing, the lack of an attendance tracking system, and a transparent criteria for assigning overtime hours. Furthermore, unsafe workplace conditions have emerged, such as crumbling false ceilings and the lack of emergency exits.
The situation has attracted the attention of the regional council, with several questions submitted to President Vincenzo De Luca and the regional health councilor, requesting clarification and intervention. The inaction of the ASL Napoli 1, the contracting body, which should monitor and supervise the companies awarded the contracts and the execution of the works, is surprising.
