Yellow Weather Alert for thunderstorms in Naples and surrounding areas. From 14:00 PM today, June 1st, to 14:00 PM tomorrow, June 2nd, the Campania Region Civil Protection Department has issued a yellow weather alert for thunderstorms in several areas of the region, including:
- Campana Plain
Napoli
Gulf Islands
Vesuvian area
Alto Volturno and Matese
Sorrento-Amalfi Peninsula
Sarno mountains
Picentini mountains - I temporal they may be intense and locally accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind.
Hydrogeological risk:
- Possible flooding
Rising water levels
Water flow in the streets
Runoffs with debris transport
Rockfall and landslides - What to do:
- Follow the instructions of local authorities
Pay attention to Civil Protection communications
Avoid areas at risk of landslides and floods
Don't cross rivers in flood
Limit travel unless necessary - Municipalities are reminded to activate the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) and to implement all necessary measures to prevent and mitigate risks.
