Naples. Yesterday evening, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during a territorial control operation, arrested a 23-year-old Gambian for illicit possession and dealing of narcotics and resisting a public official.
The man was spotted on Via Firenze suspiciously approaching an individual sitting on a step, to whom he handed something in exchange for money.
The officers, suspicious of the scene, intervened promptly and, not without difficulty, managed to stop the drug dealer.

In light of what has been ascertained, the young man was arrested and held in a holding cell pending validation by the Judicial Authority.
The arrest is part of the State Police's efforts to combat drug trafficking.
