Naples. The video of a terrible accident that occurred around 4 am in via Cavalleggeri, in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood, was sent to the deputy of Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
The images show a car overturned in the center of the roadway, its windows shattered following the violent impact. High speed is likely the cause of the accident. Roadside assistance and law enforcement arrived on the scene to conduct initial investigations.
Fuorigrotta, like many other areas of the city, is increasingly becoming a veritable racetrack for street criminals. This time, a car ended its race by overturning just a few meters from a gas pump in the middle of the road.
Only chance meant that no one was injured, as seems to emerge from the first surveys. But what is certain is that the count of road accidents in the city caused by crazy speed, by people who drive while filming themselves with their cell phones or who engage in crazy competitions is no longer tolerable.

We are tired of this painful count of victims of criminal madness. We must work first of all on prevention, and from this point of view the announced flop of the new highway code is confirmed, which has not solved any of the many problems of road safety.
"Speed bumps or speed reducers must then be installed immediately on fast-flowing roads."
As we have been requesting for some time together with the victims' families, we must introduce more roadside checks and very severe penalties for anyone who gets behind the wheel or rides a motorbike without any respect for the lives of others." This is Borrelli's comment.
