Naples. A 31-year-old man of Moroccan origin was found lifeless on the entrance platforms of Naples Central Station late on Saturday evening, June 8. The body was found around 22:00 p.m. on the Naples-Gianturco route.
The cause of death is still unclear. The leading hypothesis is that the man was hit by an oncoming train, but other possibilities, including deliberate action or an accident while crossing the tracks, have not been ruled out.
Railway Police officers and the judiciary intervened on the scene to carry out the necessary investigations. The area was temporarily closed to allow for investigations and the rail traffic suffered delays of up to 80 minutes.
