A 24-year-old man, previously under house arrest for drug-related offenses and wearing an electronic bracelet, was arrested again by the Carabinieri in the Pendino neighborhood of Naples. Despite the restrictive measures imposed by judicial authorities, Mattia Zambrano, the 24-year-old in question, persisted in his illegal activities.
The Carabinieri of the Stella Company's operational unit had him under close surveillance, and as soon as the opportunity arose, they launched a raid. Yesterday evening, the officers showed up at Zambrano's door for a check. Convinced it was a routine operation, the man opened the door without suspecting anything.
However, the growing number of carabinieri immediately alarmed him, but by then it was too late for any attempt to escape or further hide the drug. During the search, the Carabinieri found and seized five blocks of hashish weighing a total of 61 grams, a bag containing 18 grams of marijuana, a precision scale and various materials for packaging narcotics. The drugs were hidden in a bag attached with a magnet to the metal upright at the top of the storage room. After the discovery, Zambrano was arrested and transferred to prison, where he will await trial.
