Following the resounding success of its first season, Vittorio Gucci's "Il Panino Perfetto" returns to Food Network (channel 33). The program, which explores Italy in search of forgotten food supply chains, hidden specialties, and local stories, challenges the country's gastronomic tradition. Under the motto "I eat everything between two slices of bread," Vittorio will once again be joined by his daughter Sofia Plescia, a model and actress, who will play a unique role and will also have to keep her father in check.

The first take will be held in Naples, among the flavors of the Pignasecca market, the shepherds' alleys of San Gregorio Armeno and the Ferrarelle spring park in Riardo, in the province of Caserta. «Just like last year, our adventure starts from Naples, a city that I love because it is a continuous inspiration of flavors, scents and colors», comments Vittorio Gucci. One of the novelties of this edition will be a second challenge, judged by Vittorio himself: two local sandwich shops will compete to create the perfect sandwich using a zero-mile ingredient chosen by the production.

The "musical chef," together with author Raffaele "Skizzo" Bruscella, has written this new season, which will travel across Italy from south to north. After Naples, the journey will touch Rome, Florence, Pistoia, Bologna, Milano Marittima, Milan, Como, Varese, and finally Brescia. "We will show Italy, the most beautiful and kindest country in the world.", promises Vittorio. The culinary journey will be supported by sponsors such as Ferrarelle, Peroni, Caffè Chicco D'Oro, Mr. Dobelina, Punto Piuma, and Smeg. In total, eight episodes produced by Addictive Ideas will air from September 3rd at 22:33 PM on Warner Bros. Discovery channel XNUMX.
