The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, continues his relentless efforts to combat organized crime. As part of his anti-mafia prevention efforts, 12 additional prohibitions have been issued against companies suspected of collusion with criminal organizations.
In particular, eight of these prohibitions concern companies active in the port area of Naples, operating in the sectors of transport, fuel and petroleum products. These measures aim to prevent activities related to logistics and energy distribution from being infiltrated by mafia elements, thus safeguarding a strategic sector for the local and national economy.
The remaining four bans, however, affect companies in the commercial and construction sectors, located in the municipalities of Portici, Torre Annunziata and Volla. Even in these cases, the Prefect from Bari deemed it necessary to take measures to contain the risk of mafia contamination in economic sectors that are fundamental to the social and productive fabric of the region.
