Naples, the Camaldoli Park is in a state of abandonment. Europa Verde denounces: “Work never started, it is a serious political responsibility. Return the green areas of the city to the citizens”.
The councilors of Europa Verde of the V Municipality, Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti, together with the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, organized a flash mob at the entrance of the Camaldoli Park to report the serious degradation of the largest green area of the city.
“A 140-hectare park, mostly coppice, closed for over two years, and will be closed for at least the same amount of time, given the delays accumulated in starting the extraordinary maintenance works, which have already been financed.
All around, absolute degradation: abandoned ex Rai avenue, theft of materials including fences, unkept forest heritage, abandoned waste, even vehicle carcasses.
We demand that citizens be clarified why this park, along with Mascagna Park , remains inaccessible, why the work never started, and who is responsible for this administrative and environmental disaster. We can no longer allow greenery to continue to be denied to tens of thousands of Neapolitans and tourists due to administrative incompetence and arrogance." These are the words of Councilors Nasti and Bonetti.
