Naples. A 39-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of Pianura for stalking his wife.
The man, already under a restraining order and removed from the family home, showed up at the woman's house in violation of the provisions imposed on him by the judicial authorities.
The victim, a 38-year-old woman, tired of the constant threats and insults, went to the Carabinieri station to report the incident. The most recent episode had occurred the previous night, when the man had again shown up outside her house, yelling and insulting his wife.
However, the couple's 18-year-old son, with great lucidity and a sense of responsibility, filmed the entire scene with his smartphone, following the advice of the Carabinieri to be ready to document any violations and to immediately contact 112 if necessary.
The video, acquired by the Carabinieri, was a decisive piece of evidence for the arrest of the man, which took place shortly after in flagrante delicto and in close coordination with the Naples Prosecutor's Office.
The man will now have to answer for persecution, violation of the prohibition of approaching and leaving the family home. He is currently in prison awaiting trial.
