Yesterday morning, Carabinieri officers from the local station reported a 46-year-old man from Naples for receiving stolen goods. The suspect was stopped by officers while driving a Fiat Iveco, inside which they discovered 2.624 packages of dog and cat food, with a total street value exceeding €50.
During the inspection, the 46-year-old attempted to provide some justifications regarding the origin of the goods. However, in-depth investigations by the Carabinieri revealed that the feed packages had been stolen on June 11th in Nola. The lack of documentation accompanying the cargo further aroused the suspicions of the military, confirming their doubts about the legitimacy of the transport.
The man was subsequently charged with receiving stolen goods, while the vehicle was seized. The packages of biscuits were returned to their rightful owner, who was able to recover the stolen goods.
