In almost all of the monitoring stations of Arpa Campania, PM10 concentrations exceeded the threshold of 50 μg/m3, which the law establishes as a limit not to be exceeded more than 35 times a year.
At several stations, daily averages of PM10 even exceeded 100 μg/m3.

This natural phenomenon, which uniformly affected the entire region, continued on June 21, significantly affecting air quality and lessening the impact of local events such as the Camaldoli forest fire in Naples.
The fire, which occurred between June 19 and 21, raised a cloud of smoke that limited its contribution to the concentrations measured on the ground, but still spread ash over several areas of the city, especially in the initial phase.
