Naples. Carabinieri from the Naples Central Company, acting on behalf of the Public Prosecutor's Office, arrested a 24-year-old man with no criminal record from Ercolano on charges of armed robbery in conjunction with three other yet-to-be-identified accomplices.
The crime occurred on the night of April 20th on Via Riviera di Chiaia, during a chaotic weekend. The young man, accompanied by three other people, blocked the car of a young man heading to Pozzuoli.
Threatening the victim with a knife and damaging the car with punches, the criminals forced him to hand over his smartphone, a purse with money, and personal effects, and then fled.

The investigations of the Carabinieri of the Chiaia Station, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, have allowed the identification and tracking of one of the responsible, the 24-year-old, thanks to the images from the video surveillance cameras.
The pre-trial detention order, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, is a precautionary measure ordered during the preliminary investigation phase. The arrested person is presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
The investigative effort continues to identify and bring the young man's accomplices to justice.
