The theater, music, and dance festival "Affabulazione" returns to Naples for its third edition, scheduled from June to November. Organized by the City of Naples and funded by the National Fund for Entertainment of the Directorate General for Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture, the initiative aims to promote Neapolitan culture through a series of workshops and performances.
Projects and Objectives
This year, twenty projects have been selected, primarily to liven up the city's outskirts. The goal is to create a network between the six participating municipalities (IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X), with a particular focus on audiences of all ages. The festival, inspired by great figures such as Eduardo De Filippo, Massimo Troisi, and Salvatore Di Giacomo, will offer original performances ranging from classical to pop.
Protagonists and Shows
The program includes well-known names from the entertainment world. For music, the protagonists will include Roberto Del Gaudio, Lino Cannavacciuolo, the Ebbanesis, Eugenio Bennato, Peppe Servillo, Javier Girotto, Tony Tammaro, and Gianni Lamagna. For cinema and theater, the presence is assured by artists such as Anna Pavignano, Vanessa Scalera, Massimiliano Gallo, Cristina Donadio, Luciano Melchionna, Tony Laudadio, Mariano Rigillo, Antonella Morea, Francesco Di Leva, and Adriano Pantaleo.
Places and Initiatives
One of the distinctive features of "Affabulazione" is the innovative use of spaces normally reserved for other activities. The events and workshops will take place in parks, churches, schools, multipurpose centers, and libraries. Special attention will be paid to locations such as the "Pasquale Mandato" prison, the Cratere degli Astroni nature reserve and WWF oasis, the Centro Direzionale, and Piazza Nazionale.
Inclusivity and Innovation
The initiatives are designed to create a narrative that begins with the cultural identity of the participating locations, expressed through contemporary reinterpretations and innovative approaches. The theme of inclusivity will be a focal point, offering concrete opportunities for all participants to meet and share. The "Affabulazione" project, with funding of approximately €900, promises to be an unmissable event for those who love to rediscover Neapolitan culture in all its facets, from historical traditions to modern reinterpretations.
