Naples. The Technical Heritage Service of the Municipality of Naples has ordered the evacuation of a municipal building in the Soccavo neighborhood, on Viale Traiano, for safety reasons related to a worrying crack pattern.
The order, issued as a matter of urgency, affected 13 families, for a total of approximately 50 people.
The intervention was made necessary following an assessment by the Public Housing Technical Service, which identified a concrete threat to the safety of the residents. The families were therefore evacuated as quickly as possible.
The municipal administration, with the support of social services and the staff of the multifunctional centre, has set up reception stations at the Nagioja Youth Centre in Soccavo to offer temporary shelter to displaced. However, some families have preferred to opt for temporary accommodation in municipal premises in Via Lattanzio.
The Heritage Councillor declared: The Municipality's priority is the safety of its citizens. For this reason, we did not hesitate to order the building's evacuation, despite being aware of the inconvenience this will cause for the affected families. We are working to offer them alternative housing solutions as quickly as possible.
