Naples. The illegally occupied apartments in the former rectory adjacent to the church of San Biagio ai Taffettanari will be evicted "within the timeframe established by the judicial authorities" and "subject to verification of any vulnerable situations."

This was decided by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety of Naples, chaired by Prefect Michele di Bari, during a meeting dedicated to the preventive seizure of the property.

The clearing operation, ordered by the Carabinieri of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit of Naples in execution of a decree of the Neapolitan Court, aims to "restore legality to the valuable monumental complex and to continue the recovery activities for its return to the community".

The former rectory, a property of significant historical and architectural interest owned by the Opera Pia of the same name, is currently managed by a commissioner appointed by the Prefect of Naples.

Its aim is to preserve the real estate assets belonging to the Fabbriceria Opera Pia San Biagio ai Taffettanari, an institution that has been inactive for some time, and bring it back to its original purposes of supporting and maintaining religious property.

Today's meeting was attended by:

Deputy Prosecutor of Naples Pierpaolo Filippelli
The Councilor for Legality of the Municipality of Naples
The Police Commissioner of Naples
The Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri
The Provincial Commander of the Guardia di Finanza
The Commander of the Metropolitan Police
The Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety is committed to ensuring orderly and safe evacuations, protecting vulnerable areas and promoting the city's historical and cultural heritage.
