Naples. Yesterday evening, officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station during a territorial control operation in Piazza Nazionale, arrested a 51-year-old woman for illegal possession of narcotics.
The officers' attention was drawn to a man suspiciously approaching a woman sitting on a bench. After a brief exchange of money and the handing over of an item, the man quickly walked away.
Suspicious, the police intervened and checked the woman, finding her in possession of 17 packages of marijuana for a total weight of approximately 23 grams and 165 euros in cash.

The investigation then continued at thehome of the woman, where another 257 packages of marijuana weighing approximately 340 grams were found.
In light of the findings, the woman, already known to law enforcement for specific previous convictions, was arrested and taken to prison.
