Ebbanesis: a phenomenon between the web and international concerts
In June 2017, the Ebbanesis duo was born online. Two voices and a guitar began appearing on Facebook with intriguing reinterpretations of Neapolitan classics as well as popular rock songs sung in dialect. One of their first hits, "Carmela," has surpassed 400.000 views, while their version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" has garnered over 2.000.000 views, becoming a veritable media sensation. The Ebbanesis page itself has over 150.000 followers from around the world.
International success of Ebbanesis
Concert requests arrive not only from Italy, but also from countries such as France, Germany, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. In these countries, Ebbanesis have performed successfully in the cities of Santa Lucia (Femin'arte Corsica), Munich (Gasteig – Kleiner Konzertsaal), Moscow (Teatrium), and Riyadh. In Riyadh, they marked a historic moment, becoming the first two European women to take to the stage for a public performance.
