One of the projects selected by the City of Naples as part of the public notice under the Fund for Inclusive Suburbs is the one presented by the social promotion associations "Una Città Che..." (leader) and "Voce di Vento."
This project aims to create laboratory activities for 20 participants, including children and adults with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, living in the suburbs of the Municipality of Naples.
The Project “Napule is a Thousand Cultures… and Blue Stands Out Among the Many Colors”
Titled “Napule è mille culure… e tra i tanti colori stanze il blu”, the project includes painting, drawing, reading aloud workshops and autonomy development courses. It is an inclusive initiative designed to improve the participants’ abilities and autonomy through creative and educational activities.
Autonomy Development Activities
The activities for the development of autonomy will begin immediately with the first fifteen members of the project. On June 26 at 17.00:XNUMX p.m., autistic children from the outskirts of Naples will arrive at the Parco delle Chiocciole in Casalnuovo di Napoli. Here they will be able to meet snails of the helix aspersa type and African snails, bred in the facility. In addition, they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the equipped green area of the park, participating in a series of socio-educational and daily life activities that will promote their autonomy.
Creative and Educational Workshops
The painting, drawing and reading workshop activities will begin in September 2024 at the headquarters of the Ente Nazionale Sordi in Piazza Nolana, 13, in Naples. These workshops will offer participants a safe and stimulating space to express their creativity and improve their communication and social skills.
A Project with the Support of Institutions
This important project was realized with the contribution of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Minister for Disabilities and thanks to the funding of the Municipality of Naples, Welfare Department, within the scope of the Inclusive Suburbs Project. The institutions involved have shown great commitment in supporting initiatives that promote the inclusion and well-being of people with autism spectrum disorder.
