The same apartment had been devastated by an arson attack just hours before the attack. beating.
The investigations into the two incidents are linked. The Carabinieri, who are investigating the fire (currently against unknown persons), suspect that the 49-year-old was attacked in retaliation after reporting Farace's business partner for attempted theft just hours before the blaze.
