An armed robbery occurred inside a parapharmacy in Poggiomarino last May. After weeks of investigation, the Naples Police Headquarters' Mobile Squad, in collaboration with the Pompeii Police Station, identified and arrested one of the alleged perpetrators.
The arrested man was reached by officers yesterday, following the issuance of a pre-trial detention order by the Torre Annunziata Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) , at the request of the Prosecutor's Office. According to investigations, on May 7th, the man allegedly broke into the Poggiomarino parapharmacy along with a still-unidentified accomplice, committing a robbery aggravated by the use of weapons.
During the attack, the robbers threatened the parapharmacy staff with guns. After stealing the day's takings, the criminals fled on a scooter, on which a stolen license plate had been applied, in order to easily elude the police. The arrested person was taken to the Poggioreale prison.
