An armed robbery took place in Poggiomarino last May, inside a parapharmacy. After weeks of investigation, the Naples Police Headquarters' mobile squad, in collaboration with the Pompei police station, managed to identify and arrest one of the alleged perpetrators of the crime.
The arrested man was reached by the agents yesterday, following the issuing of a custody order in prison by the Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) of Torre Annunziata, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office. According to what emerged from the investigations, on May 7th the man allegedly broke into the Poggiomarino parapharmacy together with an accomplice, still unidentified, carrying out a robbery aggravated by the use of weapons.
During the attack, the robbers threatened the parapharmacy staff with guns. After stealing the day's takings, the criminals fled on a scooter, on which a stolen license plate had been applied, in order to easily elude the police. The arrested person was taken to the Poggioreale prison.
