A peaceful afternoon stroll turned into a nightmare for a young man from Pozzuoli, who suffered a head injury when a traffic light pole suddenly snapped and fell on him. The accident occurred on Corso Umberto I, while the boy was walking with some friends.
According to what the young man's sister reported to the Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, the boy initially did not realize the seriousness of the accident: "He was walking to Pozzuoli with some friends until a street sign fell on his head. At first, he didn't notice anything until his hematoma burst and he began bleeding profusely. So he called the police and filed a complaint, and an ambulance rushed him to Santa Maria delle Grazie with a yellow code, where they immediately diagnosed him with a head injury. He was left with significant physical and, above all, mental damage.

Francesco Emilio Borrelli said: We will contact the Pozzuoli Municipal Police to determine what happened and how it occurred. In any case, we urge all city authorities in the Naples area to inspect their signs, as they can cause tragedy if not regularly inspected and maintained.
