Yesterday afternoon, when he was driving his car and met a patrol of the Carabinieri from the Rocca d'Evandro station in the province of Caserta, he attempted to cover his face by suddenly accelerating, as if he wanted to avoid being recognized and avoid the risk of a check.
The 35-year-old from Sessa Aurunca, already known to the police for the commission of property and drug-related crimes, was intercepted by the military while proceeding in the opposite direction along the SP 328, at the height of that municipality.
His attitude and the unjustified sudden acceleration aroused the suspicion of the patrol who, after reversing their direction, reached him after about two kilometers.
The man, realizing that he would be stopped anyway, pulled over to the right side of the road a few moments before the officers arrived, signaling their presence with the light and sound devices provided.

Immediately after the identification, the Carabinieri carried out a personal and vehicle search on him, finding numerous items of counterfeit clothing and shoes in the trunk of the car.
The twelve items, bagged and packaged, divided into T-shirts, shirts, jeans, trousers and caps, as well as the four pairs of shoes, which bore the graphics of some of the most famous fashion houses, clearly fakes, were seized.
Furthermore, inside the car, five smartphones were found, two unregistered bank checks bearing the sum of 2000,00 euros and four payment cards certified on various circuits.
The 35-year-old, taken to the barracks, was reported at liberty. He will have to answer for receiving stolen goods, unjustified possession of valuables and use of counterfeit brands or signs.
