In anticipation of the upcoming summer season, the Salerno Police Chief has ordered increased local patrols to ensure safety and combat property crime. Specifically, targeted services have been implemented to combat thefts from commercial businesses and homes.
The police carefully monitored the areas most at risk through dynamic surveillance on both main and secondary roads. The coordination of the services was entrusted to the director of the Upgsp, who worked in synergy with a rapid response task force of the State Police, composed of the territorial force and the patrols of the Crime Prevention Department of Napoli, units specialized in territorial control.
Particular attention was paid to the seafront, with the aim of combating drug dealing and alcohol consumption, as well as brawls in the evenings. In the context of checks on the administration of alcohol to minors, the Administrative and Social Division issued two closure orders against two bars, reported 4 cases of administration of alcohol to minors under 16 years of age and drew up 5 administrative violation reports for administration of alcohol to minors under 18 years of age. In addition, 3 abusive parking attendants in the city center were reported for violating the urban Daspo, while a mandatory expulsion order was issued following a report of spending counterfeit money.
