The MEDICOM format has chosen Salerno as the setting for its new scientific dissemination series, “Give me the LA”, with the aim of raising awareness on respiratory diseases.
The Fascinating Scenography of Salerno
Filming of the web series will touch some of the most iconic places in Salerno, such as Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Maritime Station, Crescent and Piazza della Libertà, and the Lungomare promenade. These scenarios will be the backdrop to a series intended to inform the public about the risks and prevention of respiratory diseases, including problems related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death worldwide.
The Universe of Singing and Lung Health
In “Dammi il LA”, not only health stories are told, but also the fascinating world of singing. The series includes artistic and professional excellences of the territory, including Ciro Caravano, founder and historic member of “Neri Per Caso” and director of the Coro Pop di Salerno. Caravano will participate with a cameo to highlight how singing can have psychological and social benefits and contribute to the well-being of the lungs.
A MEDICOM Format Project
“Dammi il LA” is part of the consolidated MEDICOM format, known for its ability to convey scientific messages through the languages of cinema, television and series loved by the public. The format was born from the idea of the author from Salerno Dario Nuzzo, creator of the local success “Mukko Pallino” and author of Mediaset programs such as “Mistero Adventure”, “Wild” and “Dalla parte degli animali”.
Salerno as a Recurring Scenography
This is not the first time that Nuzzo has chosen Salerno for the set of MEDICOM. “Salerno’s atmospheres offer a truly unique imprinting because they tell of a community that is attentive to the quality of life,” explains Nuzzo. Palazzo Fruscione, for example, was the Condominium of “Vicini di Colesterolo” and the eastern area was the backdrop for “Notti In Bianco”, a series about sleep disorders. Both series are available on Prime Video.
Series Collaborations and Availability
Nuzzo expresses his happiness in availing himself of the contribution of renowned artists from Salerno to enrich the health messages with the participation of Maestro Ciro Caravano. The branded content production of “Dammi il LA”, made thanks to the contribution of the pharmaceutical company Menarini, will soon be available on Amazon Prime Video Italy.
