Salerno. The military of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Salerno have reported two people, owners of separate commercial activities, for the crime of illegally exercising the business of buying gold.
The two traders were operating without the required authorizations and the Guardia di Finanza seized valuables with a total value of over 50.000 euros.
The investigations, conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit, arose from an information-investigative activity aimed at combating the Recycling of money. The investigations revealed that two gold-buying shops were operating without the necessary registration with the Organization for the Management of the Lists of Financial Agents and Credit Mediators (OAM).
Inspections carried out at commercial premises confirmed irregularities and operations that did not comply with industry standards.
The operation is part of the prevention and contrast action carried out by the Guardia di Finanza to protect the integrity of the capital market.
